OPPO seems to be working on a new smartphone called the OPPO A3 Pro 5G, which could be released as the successor to the OPPO A2 Pro 5G – launched last year in China. Although the company hasn’t officially announced details about the OPPO A3 Pro 5G yet, a recent report has shared leaked images and some key details of the upcoming A3 Pro 5G and also states that the phone might be positioned as a mid-range device.
OPPO A3 Pro design leaked via leaked CAD renders
A report by Giznext, in collaboration with tipster OnLeaks, has revealed the OPPO A3 Pro 5G’s design via CAD renders and 360-degree video. It shows the phone features a centrally aligned punch-hole cutout with minimalistic bezels. While the side bezels are thin, the bottom bezel is slightly broader. The phone has curved edges for better grip.
There doesn’t appear to be a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power key, suggesting the presence of an in-display fingerprint scanner on the OPPO A3 Pro 5G. The bottom of the phone houses a USB Type-C port, speaker grille, and possibly the SIM card tray.
OPPO A3 Pro leaked specifications
As per the report, the OPPO A3 Pro 5G will feature a 6.7-inch screen, but details about its panel type, refresh rate, and resolution are yet to be disclosed. The dimensions of the phone are reported to be 162.7 x 74.5 x 7.8 mm.
The rear of the OPPO A3 Pro 5G will have a large camera ring housing dual sensors and an LED flash. However, no further information about the upcoming A3 Pro 5G has been revealed at this time.
OPPO A2 Pro specifications
On the other hand, the OPPO A2 Pro 5G boasts a 6.7-inch curved 120Hz OLED display and a peak brightness of 920 nits. The A2 Pro 5G is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC and offers configurations with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
On the back, the phone features a dual camera setup consisting of a 64MP main sensor and a 2MP portrait sensor. The main camera supports autofocus and can record videos in 4K at 30fps. For selfies and video calls, the A2 Pro 5G has an 8MP front-facing sensor.
This OPPO phone offers a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging technology. Additional features include virtual RAM support, an under-display fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, and IP54 water and dust resistance rating, among others.
