OPPO A5s gets a new 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant in India: price, specifications

The budget-centric OPPO A5s was launched by OPPO in April this year. While both 2GB RAM and 4GB RAM variants of the phone were announced, only the former went on sale in India at the time of the launch. However, 91mobiles has now learned from its retail sources that the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of the OPPO A5s is also available for sale in the country. 

The higher-end model has been priced at Rs 12,990, which is Rs 3,000 more than the 2GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. Interested buyers can purchase the OPPO A5s 4GB RAM version in retail stores across the country. As for the launch offers, Jio subscribers can avail a cashback of up to Rs 7,050 cashback along with getting additional data benefits. YesBank customers can also avail 10 percent discount. The handset comes in Green and Gold colour options.

OPPO A5s specifications

To recall, the OPPO A5s packs a 6.2-inch HD+ In-Cell display with a waterdrop notch up top that houses the selfie camera. The handset runs slightly dated Android 8.1 Oreo-based on ColorOS 5.2.1 out of the box. Under the hood, it employs the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB by adding a microSD card.

In the camera department, the phone rocks 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel cameras on the rear, and an 8-megapixel snapper on the front for selfie and video calling. The A5s also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a beefy 4,230mAh battery. The phone has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB port as connectivity options. It measures 155.9×75.4×8.2mm and weighs 170 grams.
