“OPPO Reno 2 specifications and features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, 6.5-inch display, 16MP selfie camera, and 3,915mAh battery”
The OPPO Reno 2 smartphone will be launching in India on August 28th, with quad rear cameras and 20x zoom in tow. Now, the complete OPPO Reno 2 specifications have been revealed by the TENAA listing of the smartphone. However, unlike most listings, this time around there are no images accompanying the specifications, though the official site has already revealed the OPPO Reno 2 design so there’s not much mystery left on that front. As for the specifications, we get the features we usually see in premium smartphones. The listing, however, does confirm the resolution of each of the camera sensors, giving more clarity on what we can expect on the photography front.
OPPO Reno 2 has been listed with model numbers PCKT00 and PCKM00 on TENAA. The smartphone will have a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with 1,080 x 2,400 pixels resolution and Android 9 Pie-based custom OS. It is powered by a octa-core Qualcomm processor with 2.2GHz clock speed, likely the Snapdragon 700 series chipset. The OPPO Reno 2 with model number PCKT00 has been listed with 128GB storage, but the PCKM00 model has both 128GB and 256GB storage options. Both the model numbers have 8GB of RAM.
On the camera front, we get a 48MP primary sensor backed by 13MP, 8MP, and 2MP sensors; the official renders have shown these will be stacked vertically. In the front is a 16MP selfie snapper, which is housed in the shark fin-style pop-up housing. In-display fingerprint sensor, 4K video recording, up to 256GB microSD card support, 2x optical zoom, and VoLTE support are also confirmed via the listing. The battery capacity of the handset is 3,915mAh, the listing reveals. Other details mentioned in the OPPO Reno 2 TENAA listing include colour options (Black, Pink, and Green), 189 gram weight, and 160 x 74.3 x 9.5mm dimensions.
The official OPPO Reno 2 listing page reveals the handset will feature 20x digital zoom and 5x hybrid zoom. There’s also an Ultra Steady Mode for shake-free videos and an Ultra Dark Mode for enhanced lowlight camera performance. We should find out more about the smartphone next week when it launches in India.
