OPPO Reno 5 Pro has been launched in India with mid-range specifications. The OPPO smartphone is the first in the country to rock MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC under the hood. It’s the flagship chipset from MediaTek with integrated 5G support and advanced power-saving technologies. The smartphone has been launched as a premium device with a focus on videography, with the AI Highlight Video as the headliner. OPPO Reno 5 Pro specifications also include an impressive 65W fast charging solution, 90Hz OLED display, quad rear cameras with 64MP primary sensor, and 32MP selfie camera. Around the back, the OPPO Reno 5 Pro flaunts gradient colours and a rectangular camera setup. Alongside the smartphone, the company also launched the Enco X truly wireless earbuds with Active Noise Cancellation.

OPPO Reno 5 Pro price in India, sale date

OPPO Reno 5 Pro is priced in India at Rs 35,990 for the sole 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The smartphone comes in two colour options, namely Astral Blue and Starry Black. The OPPO Reno 5 Pro will go on sale in the country from January 22nd onwards via Flipkart.

OPPO Reno 5 Pro specifications include a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED 3D Borderless Sense Screen with 1,080 x 2,400p resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC coupled with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage under the hood. The smartphone runs Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 custom skin out of the box to take care of the software side of things and houses a 4,350mAh battery. The OPPO Reno 5 Pro supports the super-fast 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging that can juice up the device in 30 minutes and a 5-minute charge can give you four hours of video playback. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.

In the imaging department, the OPPO Reno 5 Pro rocks a quad-camera setup at the back, which consists of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP lens with a 119-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP mono portrait lens. Up front, the smartphone gets a 32MP snapper in the punch-hole setup for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port. The Reno 5 Pro measures 159.7mm × 73.2mm × 7.6mm and weighs 173 grams.

The handset’s USP is AI Highlight Video, a feature that detects the lighting condition and automatically applies tailored algorithms to improve the clarity of the video in real-time. The feature is available in both front and rear cameras. The phone also has the Dual-view Video feature that lets users capture video from the front and the back simultaneously. Other features include AI Color Portrait, Monochrome Video, Ultra Steady Video 3.0, and Smart Slow-motion 960fps video.
