Qualcomm has scheduled an event for March 18th in China. While the chipmaker hasn’t announced what it will be launching, there are chances it could introduce the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. This chipset will reportedly use a similar architecture as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that includes the Cortex-X4 core. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip will be present on a few upcoming flagships, including ones from brands like Realme.

New Qualcomm chipsets expected on March 18th

  • Qualcomm is expected to launch the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset at an event in China on March 18th.
  • The chipset is said to be paired with 1 x 3.01GHz Cortex-X4, 4 x 2.61GHz Cortex-A720, and 3x 1.84GHz Cortex-A520 CPUs.
  • This is a similar architecture to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 but this new chip might use Adreno 735 GPU.

  • There are chances Qualcomm might introduce the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 at the event.

Realme GT Neo 6 could be the first or one among the first to use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and the Realme Neo 6 SE could pack the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (SM7675) SoC. Besides Realme, Redmi Note 13 Turbo, upcoming iQOO Neo 9 series phone and Vivo Pad 3 might come with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

A Xiaomi phone with the model number 24053PY09C received the TENAA certification with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. This could be the Xiaomi Civi 4. OnePlus Ace 3V could also use the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. We should know more details about the chipset in the days to come.
