Realme seems to be gearing up to launch a handful of phones soon.
Realme is a brand that keeps having smartphone launches at regular intervals and keeps the buyers as well as the media always busy. The company only recently unveiled its flagship Realme GT and GT Master Edition phones in the country, and its tech lifestyle brand Dizo is gearing up to introduce a total of 7 products in September. Now, amidst all the mad rush, 91mobiles has exclusively learned from tipster Yogesh Brar that the Realme 9 will launch in India in October, just before Diwali. The phone will come as a successor to the Realme 8 and should have multiple variants. Interestingly, this comes a day after the Realme Note 9 and Note 9 Prime monikers were spotted online. It shouldn't be long before we learn the exact Realme 9 India launch date.
Furthermore, Brar also us that Realme will have a launch event in September at which the Realme 8i and Realme 8s will be introduced. The company on Monday had teased India's first phone with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset. According to our exclusive report from last month, Realme 8s will be the phone that will be powered by the Dimensity 810 chipset.
Realme 8s is said to sport a 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz display. It is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC and will have 5G connectivity. The phone is said to pack 6GB/ 8GB RAM with 5GB virtual RAM, and either 128GB or 256GB storage. The phone is likely to boot Android 11 OS with Realme UI 2.0 custom skin. The Realme 8s will reportedly have a triple camera setup on the back, with a 64MP primary sensor, but nothing has been revealed about the other sensors. It is said to have a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. A 5,000mAh battery with 33W Dart fast-charging support will fuel the phone. The Realme 8s is tipped to come with a USB Type-C port for charging and a 3.5mm audio jack.
On the other hand, the Realme 8i is said to sport a 6.59-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper. It measures 8.6mm in thickness and weighs 194 grams. The Realme 8i is said to be the first phone powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 paired with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The Realme 8i is said to have a triple camera setup on the back, with a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP portrait camera, and a 2MP macro camera. There is a 16MP snapper for selfies and video chats and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery.
