It is speculated that the Realme GT 2 Pro, which will be equipped with a 6.51-inch Super AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a high refresh rate, and a punch-hole design will be one of the first smartphones from Realme to come with the 125W fast charging technology. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset may power the device with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. For photography, it may feature a 108MP + 8MP + 5MP triple camera unit and a 32MP selfie camera. It is expected to come preinstalled with Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12.

The leak also suggests that other upcoming smartphones like the OPPO Find X4, Find X4 Pro, and the OnePlus 10 Pro will also come with 125W fast charging in 2022. Speaking of OPPO, the leak also claims that the mobile giant will be releasing a new N-series phone and the OPPO Reno8 Pro with 125W fast charging in 2022, meaning the about to be launched Reno 7 series, won’t get the 125W fast charging tech.

All of these devices should become official and will likely hit the Chinese stores during the first half of 2022, so it will be interesting to see how they fare in terms of charge times compared to Xiaomi’s 120W system that’s inside the Xiaomi 11T Pro and the newly launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus, which claims to charge its 4500 mAh battery in just 15 minutes. That’s pretty insane, and who knows, maybe OPPO and Realme’s tech will be even faster. We will have more information around their charging speeds as and when the smartphones from these respective companies launch, so stay tuned for that.
