Realme GT 5 launch teased
- Chase put up a poster on Weibo on Tuesday which read, “Despite the introduction of over 30 second-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship models from different brands, why haven’t any of them truly reached the pinnacle of performance?”
- This pretty much suggests that the GT 5 will indeed pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which also powers phones such as the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro (launching today) and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
- He followed it up stating that the Realme GT 5 will come with the 24GB RAM “killer feature”.
- This is in line with previous rumours which said that Realme was working on a 24GB RAM phone and it could be the GT 5.
- The device will be equipped with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
- The Realme GT 5 will succeed the Nubia RedMagic 8S Pro+ and the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro in the list of phones with 24GB RAM.
- DCS also states the smartphone will offer up to 240W fast charging support, which is currently seen on the Realme GT 3 (not launched in India yet). Previous reports suggest that the Realme GT 5 might come in two fast charging variants, with 5,200mAh battery – 150W charging and 4,600mAh battery – 240W fast charging respectively.
