Realme is expected to launch smartphones with 24GB RAM soon in its home country. This report comes from Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, who confirmed the development through a Weibo post.

While the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is expected to be the world’s first smartphone with 24GB RAM option, Realme might soon introduce a phone with a similar configuration. This phone might be part of its flagship GT Series. The brand has only offered phones with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variant, with Realme GT Neo 5 as one of the models in China.

The smartphone company has earlier offered phones with additional virtual memory through its Realme UI skin, but upcoming phones will offer 24GB RAM as a hardware configuration. Higher RAM modules are expected to be ordered from Samsung Semiconductor for BBK Companies like OPPO, OnePlus, and Realme.

The source also states that the new configuration is expected to improve memory management coupled with optimisations in Realme UI. To recall, Realme UI is a modified version of ColorOS which powers OPPO and OnePlus phones in China.
