The device is said to be powered by a Helio G85 processor.
Spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), the Redmi 12C (with the model number Redmi 22120RN86I) has received the Indian BIS certification, which points to an imminent launch. Though the BIS listing does not reveal the moniker of the device, its global counterpart (22120RN86G) has also been spotted on the TDRA certification website, which indeed does tell us the name of the device.
The recently leaked spec sheet of the Redmi 12C suggests that the device will come with a 6.71-inch display, which, given the device's potential budget nature, will likely be an HD+ panel. Under the hood, the device will reportedly be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor, which could be paired with up to 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The device will likely feature a 5,000mAh battery.
In terms of cameras, the Redmi 12C is said to offer a 50MP main camera and a QVGA secondary sensor. At the front, the device is tipped to sport a 5MP selfie snapper. Lastly, the Redmi 12C will likely boot Android 12 Go Edition out of the box.
