Redmi K30 Pro refresh rate can be bumped to 80Hz via software tweak, but company says you shouldn’t

"The Redmi K30 Pro comes with a standard 60Hz refresh rate, but developers have been able to increase it to 80Hz via an unofficial software tweak"

Redmi K30 Pro smartphone was unveiled earlier this week in China and rumours are rife that it might launch as POCO F2 in India. Despite packing in flagship hardware like the Snapdragon 865 SoC, 5G connectivity, and quad cameras, the phone lacks a higher screen refresh rate, which is a let-down for some people considering it is slowly becoming a must-have feature in 2020. Even the vanilla Redmi K30, which launched as the POCO X2 in India, has a 120Hz LCD display. Responding to the same, Xiaomi recently explained that it wanted to offer a full-screen design and an impressive battery life, which otherwise isn't possible on a 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate. However, it seems some developers have found a way to increase the refresh rate, but you may not want to do that.
