[Update: August 22nd]: According to Gizmotimes, it appears that you can now get a Reliance Jio SIM card with the 90-day preview offer at any retailer selling LYF smartphones, and not just Reliance outlets. The news was further corroborated by independent Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom, who said that he has been authorised to give out SIM cards to new and existing Samsung, LG and LYF smartphone owners as of now.

Within days of expanding its 4G service trials to a wide range of Samsung and LG smartphones, Reliance Jio has now opened up the offer to all users with a 4G capable smartphone. Although an official announcement by the company is still pending, several Reliance stores across the country are now giving away free Jio SIM cards to any customer who turns up with a 4G capable smartphone, Gizmotimes reported first.
What’s more is that users will also be entitled to the free Jio preview offer with the new SIM cards. Now, if you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know what this is all about, the Jio preview offer includes free unlimited HD voice and video calls, high speed mobile data and SMS along with Jio’s suite of Premium apps for a period of 90 days.
Interested users can visit any Reliance Digital. Digital Xpress or Digital Xpress Mini stores with their 4G smartphone and required KYC documents. However, we’d recommend waiting until the official announcement as not all stores may have the details about the offer yet.
