Samsung Galaxy A82 5G could be in the works as the handset has been making news for quite some time now. It will come as a technical successor to the Galaxy A80 with a motorised rotating camera that can be used for both and rear and selfie shots. Now, according to a new report from ETNews, Samsung Galaxy A82 5G launch could be inching close and it may bring back the innovative rotating camera design. The report says it will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, which corroborates with the Geekbench listing. This means the Samsung Galaxy A82 5G will not have the newer Snapdragon 870 or Snapdragon 865, probably to keep the pricing in check.

Samsung Galaxy A82 5G price is said to be between $620 (approx Rs 45,000) and $710 (around Rs 51,700). This puts it on similar lines as the Samsung Galaxy A80 that launched at Rs 47,990. However, there’s a chance the phone’s price in India could be slightly cheaper but can’t be said for certain.

The Samsung Galaxy A82 had recently received Bluetooth SIG certification to reveal Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and its marketing2 name. The Geekbench listing showed it’ll pack 6GB RAM and boot Android 11 OS out of the box. It has managed to score 755 in the single-core round and 2,630 points in the multi-core round. The source code of Geekbench showed it’ll come with Adreno 640 GPU and the chipset will be clocked at 2.96GHz.

Samsung Galaxy A80 specifications include a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with an in-screen fingerprint sensor for security. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC coupled with Adreno 618 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage. The phone will boot Android 9.0 Pie with OneUI custom skin on top and pack a 3,700mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support. The Samsung Galaxy A80 has triple rear cameras at the back with a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-lens, a 3D ToF third sensor for depth-of-field. Thanks to a motorised module, the rear cameras also work as selfie snappers. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C.
