"The Galaxy A90 is expected to be the premium mid-range handset from Samsung"
Samsung Mobile has an event scheduled on April 10th, where the brand is expected to take the wraps off a new Galaxy A series smartphone. The handset could be the rumoured Galaxy A90, which has been doing the rounds on the internet for quite some time. Now, ahead of the phone's release, an alleged screen protector of the handset has surfaced online to reveal slim bezels all around and no cut-out for a selfie camera.
Interestingly, Samsung has already confirmed that the Galaxy A90 will be its first smartphone ever to feature a ‘notch-less Infinity screen.' In order to house the front camera sensor, the phone is likely to have a pop-up mechanism or a rotating camera module that might retract from the top edge.
As for the specifications, a well-known tipster Ice Universe has suggested that the Galaxy A90 would rock Qualcomm's yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 700-series SoC - allegedly dubbed as Snapdragon 7150 chipset (in select markets). Other than that, the handset will reportedly pack a 3,700mAh battery with fast charging support and run Samsung's One UI based on Android 9 Pie straight out of the box. The phonemaker is tipped to come with at least 6GB of RAM and 64GB of user-expandable storage.
On the display front, the Galaxy A90 could sport a 6.4-inch full-HD+ display with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution. The camera specifications are vague at the moment, but rumours suggest the handset will feature a whopping 48-megapixel camera. The handset is expected to be the most premium smartphone in Samsung's mid-range Galaxy A-series lineup.
