Samsung Galaxy M62 5G has received BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification with the model number SM-M626B/DS, as spotted by MySmartPrice. This suggests the Samsung Galaxy M62 India launch could be imminent. It is expected to come as a rebranded version of the Galaxy F62 that launched in India back in February. To recall, the Galaxy F62 comes with a 7,000mAh battery, 64MP quad-cameras, and an sAMOLED display. However, the model number ‘SM-M626B/DS’ hints that it will be a 5G offering as the 4G model bears the SM-M625 model number. For reference, the Samsung Galaxy A32 4G has the model number SM-A325 while the 5G variant has SM-A326.

Since the Samsung Galaxy F62 comes with Exynos 9825 4G SoC, the Samsung Galaxy M62 5G in India may come with a different chipset. Or the same Exynos processor could be paired with Exynos 5100 modem for 5G support, the report speculates.

There is a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync. There is support for Dolby Atmos and Samsung Pay.
