Samsung's latest phone in India is a new variant of the Galaxy S21 FE with a Snapdragon 888 processor which should result in better performance. Price and offers have also been revealed.
The new Galaxy S21 FE model features a two-year-old Snapdragon 888 5G processor. It has been priced in India at Rs 49,999. There is only one variant available with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. In terms of color options, we get a set of five choices, Navy, Olive, Graphite, Lavender, and White. The phone is also available on Samsung Shop online store. You can get a Rs 5,000 instant discount with an HDFC EMI or Credit Card.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE originally launched with an Exynos 2100 processor. The variant with this processor has been seemingly discontinued as offline stores are no longer keeping stock and the official website, too, has removed it from sale. The phone is still available on Amazon and Flipkart but that could just be the remaining stocks with these retailers. To recall, it had a starting price of Rs 54,999 for the 128GB variant when it was unveiled in January 2022.
The phone comes with only a USB-C cable in-box and no charging adapter. At a price tag of Rs 49,999, the Galaxy S21 FE with Snapdragon 888 chipset directly competes with the newly launched OPPO Reno 10 series. The South Korean smartphone giant is also expected to launch the Galaxy S23 FE model later this year with various upgrades. It skipped bringing an 'FE' version of its Galaxy S22 series.
