Now a new leak seems to disagree with this saying that only the Ultra variant will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Indian variants’ chipset details
- Samsung’s flagship series will feature three models including the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
- The vanilla Galaxy S24 and mid-tier Galaxy S24+ will be powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset, according to a report by svctechinfo.
- The report adds that only the Galaxy S24 Ultra will come with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
- This leak contradicts a recent one that suggested both the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
- Since nothing is official yet, we’ll just have to wait and see what Samsung has in store for the Indian market.
The Indian variants have always received the Exynos models except for the Galaxy S23 series, which used only the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. This is good news for Indian users as the Snapdragon models have been proven to perform better than their Exynos counterparts. But recent reports and benchmark results are showing that the Exynos chipset is close to its Snapdragon counterpart in terms of performance. We’ll know better once the devices are official, and reviewed.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series launch is scheduled for January 17th. Pre-bookings in India have already begun with the devices expected to debut here the same time. Sales for the Galaxy S24 series would begin at a later date.
