Samsung has finally ‘Unpacked’ (quite literally) the next generation of its foldable smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5. This year, the company preponed the event, choosing to hold it in July instead of the usual August announcement. The new foldables come as evolutionary upgrades over their predecessors with regard to design. The biggest change is that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 gets a larger 3.4-inch cover screen compared to the 1.9-inch display on the Galaxy Z Flip 4. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 prices

  • The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 starts at $999 (approx Rs 82,000) for the 256GB storage version. The 512GB option costs $1,119 (approx Rs 92,000).
  • Samsung’s higher-end Galaxy Z Fold 5 is priced at $1,799 (approx Rs 1,47,000) for the 256GB variant, $1,919 (approx Rs 1,57,000) for the 512GB version, and $2,159 (approx Rs 1,77,000) for the 1TB storage option.
  • Samsung will announce the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 prices in India on Thursday, July 27th.

The main screen of the foldable smartphones is equipped with a shock dispersion layer and a redesigned back for a more solid display. There is an IPX rating, Armor Aluminum frames, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both the Flex Window and back cover. There is a new Flex Hinge, which features a dual rail structure, diffusing external impacts.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5: The new Flex Window on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is now 3.78 times larger than the previous generation and this opens up to a wide range of existing and new capabilities. It provides more customisation options, including informative and graphical clocks that can match the face design of a user’s Galaxy Watch 6 series watch face, as well as stylish frames. Users can access information with widgets and can check details like weather, control music playback, and more. Users can also reply to texts on the go using Quick Reply with a full QWERTY keyboard
