Sonos could be launching the successor to its Move portable wireless speaker soon, possibly called the Sonos Move 2. The new speaker’s renders and marketing material have been leaked. The renders show the Move 2 design in a new green colour.
Sonos Move 2 design changes (expected)
- Like the first-gen Sonos Move, the newcomer also appears to have a cylindrical form as per the leaked renders.
- The Move 2 render shows the new green colour. This could be one of the colour options, we presume.
- Another big change here seems to be the volume slider on the top.
- We can also see the way the volume controls are differently marked on the top of the speaker. Besides this, there is the pause/play option as well as options to skip to the next track and go back to the previous track.
- The top surface also has mics and an LED indicator.
- Rest, the placement of everything from the Sonos branding on the front side to buttons like power, mic switch, Bluetooth toggle, and the USB-C port is on the back.
- It could also rely on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for connection, streaming, and ecosystem play.
- This one also could bring smart assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
- It would be convenient if Sonos let you replace the rechargeable battery in the Sonos Move 2. It offered a Move Replacement Battery Kit to change the batteries on the predecessor.
