TVS Creon electric scooter: expected price, range, colours, images, and specifications

TVS Motors is a household name in India, known for its high-quality petrol scooters. The brand is now trying to establish itself as a bestseller in the EV segment. With the iQube already raking in orders, TVS Motors looks to disrupt the premium E-scooter segment with the Creon launching later in 2023. With a triple battery pack and a superbly sporty design on offer, here is what the TVS Creon will have to offer in terms of features, price, specifications, colours, warranty, and more.

TVS Creon’s expected price in India

The TVS Creon price in India is expected to start at Rs 1,20,000 (ex-showroom). Note that the two-wheeler maker has not yet confirmed this price tag, and it is currently based on speculation online. According to automobile experts and trend analysts, a motorbike of this calibre and with these features is expected to start around the Rs 1.2 lakh price point. The TVS Creon is expected to launch in India around October 2023. With this price tag, the EV will take on options like the Ola S1 pro, Ather 450X, Vida V1, Okaya Faast, and other premium scooters, which boast top speeds of more than 90kmph and a battery range of more than 100km.

TVS Creon’s features

A recent report by Rushlane gave us the first sighting of the upcoming TVS Creon on the road. As per this report, TVS Motors has dedicated 1,000 crores to the development of its electric vehicles. And, the first one on the list is Creon. While the concept was first showcased at Auto Expo 2018, the Creon was spotted on the roads for the first time last year. As per the alleged images, the front of the vehicle could have a sporty, slightly-aggressive design with a sleek frame. The electric scooter could also have “muscular front fascia, large instrument panel, step-up seat design, and integrated grab rails” according to the report. The Creon is also expected to borrow rear-view mirrors from TVS’ iQube.

Furthermore, the low seat height and front hand bar will act as levers that make long rides more comfortable on this upcoming EV.

If we talk about its performance, the concept shown at 2018’s Auto Expo showed that the Creon will come equipped with three battery packs, with a total of 12kW of power output. Further, it is expected to go from 0-60kmph in just 5.1 seconds, and have a claimed range of 80km on a full charge. The battery packs on this scooter will likely be water-protected up to an IP67 rating, which provides peace of mind when going off the road.

As for connectivity options, the TVS Creon is expected to sport quite a few. It will borrow iQube’s TVS SmartXonnect app that will allow users to access crash alerts, geo-fencing alerts, navigation assist, last-parked location, live vehicle tracking, and more.

As mentioned above, it will contain a total of three lithium-ion batteries with a premium range and top speed on offer. The electric motor is expected to have a peak power capacity of 16.31PS. Other than that, the scooter will sport a sharp design, which resembles the Italjet Dragster – a unique-looking 125cc scooter.

The console will be Bluetooth-enabled with the ability to change riding modes, use GPS for accurate tracking, and enjoy anti-theft and other safety features using the built-in software that links to your smartphone.
