Vivo S1 pre-orders in India have started in major brick-and-mortar retail stores across the country, according to our retail sources. The pre-orders will continue till August 7th and will require the buyer to pay a Rs 2,000 downpayment to make the booking. The remaining amount will need to be paid after the company announces the Vivo S1 price in India at the August 7th launch event; the handset will go on sale via offline stores starting 6pm the same day. It should be noted that only the 4GB + 128GB variant of the Vivo S1 will be available for pre-orders.

While the company hasn't officially revealed the Vivo S1 price in India, our sources suggest that it will be available at the starting price of around Rs 15,000. In the pre-booking period, the brand is offering a cashback of up to 7.5 percent on purchases made via HDFC cards, up to Rs 2,500 cashback on payments made using Paytm, and 10 percent additional bump up value on Instacash app. We've also learned that one of the colour variants for the smartphone in India will be Blue.
To recall, the Vivo S1 comes with a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution. The Helio P65 SoC onboard is accompanied by Mali-G52 GPU. At the rear, the handset has three cameras including a 16MP main sensor, an 8MP secondary shooter, and a 2MP third sensor. On the front, the smartphone has a 32MP camera for selfies and video calling. Software-wise, the handset boots Funtouch OS based on ColorOS. A 4,500mAh battery keeps the whole package running.
The Vivo S1 was originally launched in Indonesia recently as a mid-range smartphone. Notably, it arrived as the world's first smartphone to utilise MediaTek's newest Helio P65 processor. The Vivo S1 is also among the most affordable handsets with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a triple primary camera setup at the rear. In India, the phone will be competing against the likes of the OPPO K1 and Realme X.
