Vivo recently launched two new mid-range smartphones in India — the Vivo T2 and Vivo T2x. Both the Vivo T2 and Vivo T2x are priced in the highly competitive sub-Rs 20,000 price range and compete with a range of devices from several OEMs. Keeping in mind the price and specifications, the Vivo T2 can be pitted against the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite, which launched in India last week and recently went on sale in the country.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite is priced slightly higher than the Vivo T2. You can get the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage at Rs 19,999. As for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, it is available at Rs 21,999. There are a few offers though, such as a Rs 1,000 instant discount for ICICI Bank customers and a Rs 500 cashback for MobiKwik users.

Like most Android phones these days, the Vivo T2 and OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite look unsurprisingly identical. There are some differences though and we’ll talk about them.

Starting with the Vivo T2, this phone is clad in a slim 7.8mm metal body with flat edges much like the iPhone 12 series. It comes in two colour options of Nitro Blaze (blue) and Velocity Wave (black). There’s a rather large but not protruding camera module at the back. For a more striking look, the Nitro Blaze is a good option, but the Velocity Wave offers a more subtle look. The front design is conventional with the water drop notch display.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 has the more modern punch-hole camera cutout located at the top centre of the display. It also has the similar circular camera modules at the back of the phone. There is a tiny difference between the edges of the two phones, wherein the OnePlus Nord CE 3 has a more curved design. With the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite, you get a slightly bigger 6.72-inch FHD+ but with an LCD display and 680nits peak brightness. It however offers a higher 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top.

Powering both the phones is the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC that is paired with UFS 2.2 internal storage and Adreno 619 GPU for graphics. The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite has more to offer in terms of optics. You get triple rear cameras which include a 108MP Samsung HM6 primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens for those close up shots. It also houses a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
