Vivo TWS Pro and TWS Neo truly wireless earphones trademarked, may launch soon

“After launching the Vivo TWS last year, Vivo has now filed the trademark for two new truly wireless earphones”

Vivo launched its first-ever truly wireless earbuds, simply dubbed the Vivo TWS, alongside the Vivo NEX 3 smartphone back in September 2019. A little while ago, 91mobiles reported exclusively that the Vivo TWS would be launching in India soon. Now, the company appears to be developing the successors to the original Vivo TWS as it has trademarked the Vivo TWS Pro and the Vivo TWS Neo names. As the name suggests, the Vivo TWS Pro could be an upgraded variant of the Vivo TWS, while the Vivo TWS Neo is most likely a toned-down variant, much like the upcoming rumoured Realme Buds Air Neo.

Vivo TWS Pro and TWS Neo appear on EUIPO trademark site

We were able to spot the Vivo TWS Pro and the Vivo TWS Neo on the EUIPO Trademark website. The trademarks were filed on February 17th and are relatively fresh. So fresh that commenting on the launch date would be too early. Plus, our readers should keep in mind that filing a trademark does not necessarily mean that we would see the end product for sure. For our sake, we can only hope that Vivo would launch both the earbuds. If the company’s previous trend is anything to go by, we might see the Vivo TWS Pro and TWS Neo launch alongside the next Vivo NEX device.

Vivo TWS earphones specifications

Speaking of the specifications of the original Vivo TWS earphones, they feature 14.2mm drivers and have support for aptX and AAC HD audio codecs. The earphones are IP54 water and sweat resistant. As for the battery life, the Vivo TWS offer up to 4 hours of juice on a single charge. Adding to that, the case the earbuds come ship with can offer up to 24 hours of additional charge.

The Vivo TWS earphones sport a dual-channel transmission, which claims to reduce the audio latency by up to 44 percent. It also reduces the power consumption by up to 30 percent, when compared with the more traditional transmission. The earphones boast of touch controls for music control and volume control. Furthermore, they can be controlled with voice (the Vivo TWS can be controlled with the company’s in-house Jovi AI).

As far as the price is concerned, the Vivo TWS earphones are priced at RMB 999 in China, which roughly translates to somewhere around Rs 10,115. We will keep you posted about the Vivo TWS Pro and the Vivo TWS Neo if we receive any more intel on the same.
