"The Vivo Y95 receives its second price cut in just a few months following its launch"
Vivo quietly added two new devices to its affordable Y-series of smartphones - Y93 and Y95 (first impressions) in India towards the end of last year. The latter received its first price cut just a month after its launch and was retailing for Rs 15,990 thereafter. Now, both these smartphones have been discounted further and the new prices will be effective starting March 15th 2019.

The Vivo Y95 was launched in India with a price tag of Rs 16,990, which was then rebated to Rs 15,990 in January. With the newest price cut, the smartphone can now be picked up for Rs 14,990 across all channels. The Vivo Y93, on the other hand was launched with a starting price of Rs 12,990 for 4GB + 32GB variant and Rs 13,990 for 3GB + 64GB model. After the latest price cut, the variants can be picked up for Rs 11,990 and Rs 12,990, respectively.
To recap on the specifications of the Vivo Y95, the smartphone comes with a 6.22-inch HD+ LCD display featuring waterdrop notch. Powering the performance of the smartphone is the Snapdragon 439 chipset, which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. In the camera department, the smartphone offers a 13MP + 2MP setup on the rear panel and a 20MP selfie shooter. The handset boots Funtouch OS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and is powered by 4,030mAh battery.
The Vivo Y93 ships with a 6.22-inch HD+ display featuring the same waterdrop notch. At its core, the phone features the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. As for the software, it boots the same Funtouch OS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. In the imaging department, the Y93 flaunts the same setup as Y95, however on the front there is a much smaller 8-megapixel unit. The battery also remains the same as Y95.
