WhatsApp will stop working on these devices from November 1st: see if your phone is on the list

It's best to back up your chats before November 1st if you're using any of these smartphones.

WhatsApp will not work on phones running Android 4.0.3 or lower and iOS 9 or older.
iPhone SE (1st Gen), iPhone 6S, and iPhone 6S Plus will be incompatible with WhatsApp from November 1st.
Android smartphones from Samsung, LG, Sony, and Huawei are also on the list.

Facebook-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp has announced that smartphones running an older version of Android and iOS will stop supporting the chat app from November 1st. This change would be affecting a huge number of users as several devices still run the old version of the operating system. Starting November 1st, devices running Android 4.0.3 or lower and iOS 9 or older won't be compatible with WhatsApp. Here's the full list of devices that will be incompatible with WhatsApp from next month.
