Nokia parent HMD’s first batch of phones, the Pulse series officially launched in global markets. In addition to this, the brand has also unveiled the HMD Vibe for the US market. The company says the phone is aimed at those who are on a budget. The handset features the same design language as the HMD Pulse series, with two circular rings on the back and a polycarbonate body. The HMD Vibe is priced at $150 (approx Rs 12,500) and will be on sale in the US in May. Customers can purchase the phone through HMD’s website and other retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, etc. Since the company is aiming the phone for the US market, chances of it launching in markets like India are very low.

The HMD Vibe sports a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter. Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor with Adreno GPU for graphics. The chipset is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which is further expandable via a microSD card. There is also support for 4GB virtual RAM. 

The phone packs a 4,000mAh battery with a 10W standard charging support through the USB-C port. In terms of cameras, the phone packs a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. We get a 5MP shooter on the front for selfies.

The phone is equipped with an IP52 rating for dust and spill resistance. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS. Interestingly, the HMD Vibe doesn’t come with a fingerprint sensor, instead, the phone uses face unlock for security.
