The film was launched with the title "Shafaq" in 2001. It was later shelved. When the film was restarted in 2003 with a new producer, the film's title changed . This was due to the title sounding obscene in English. Then Tisca Chopra replaced Raveena Tandon. Next Meghna Kothari replaced Rinke Khanna .
The film was titled "Ek Din Anjaane Mein" at one point.
The film did not have a theatrical release in British Columbia, Canada.
