A multi-layered series that looks back to the formative years of Ryu and Ken as they live a traditional warrior's life in secluded Japan. The boys are, unknowingly, the last practitioners of the ancient fighting style known as "Ansatsuken" (Assassin's Fist). The series follows them as they learn about the mysterious past of their master, Goken, and the tragic, dark legacy of the Ansatsuken style. Street Fighter character "Dan Hibiki" is humorously mentioned as being a past student at the dojo. In a deleted scene, Ken questions Goken regarding Dan. Goken mention Go Hibiki (Dan's Father) and Sagat the boss from the original game.
Yoshinori Ono, Japanese video game producer for Capcom, does a cameo on the series.
Joey Ansah and Christian Howard were the only two to return from Street Fighter: Legacy (2010).
Gotetsu's Dojo is the same Dojo from Ninja (2009).
Gaku Space did not have a stunt double, however unlike Mike Moh, Christian Howard and Joey Ansah, he is not an actor known for doing his own action stunts.
