Airtel 5G Plus launched today in 8 cities: list of cities, no 5G SIM needed

Airtel says that customers who have 5G smartphones can enjoy the high-speed Airtel 5G Plus with their existing data plans until the rollout is more widespread. Airtel says that its 5G network will offer up to 30 times higher speeds than today, combined with brilliant voice experience and super-fast call connection. Customers don't have to upgrade their SIM to be able to access 5G.

Airtel 5G Plus launched

Airtel 5G Plus has been launched officially in 8 cities across the country. These include Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, Chennai, and Varanasi. Customers don't need to change their SIM to get 5G network access. The Airtel 5G Plus will be available on customers' existing data plans until the rollout is more widespread.

Airtel says that its 5G Plus has three compelling advantages for customers. First, it runs on a technology that has the widest acceptance in the world. This is important because that all 5G smartphones in India seamlessly work on the Airtel network. Second, the company promises to deliver the best experience – between 20 to 30 times higher speeds than today. Finally, Airtel 5G Plus network will also be kinder to the environment with its special power reduction solution.
