ASUS has just announced a new portable projector dubbed the E1Z at Computex. The pocket-sized projector is meant for those who like to share stuff with their loved ones on a big screen and those looking for a good multimedia experience.
The ASUS E1Z is an LED projector that will showcase the content from your Android phone on a big screen by using micro-USB to connect. A majority of the regular projectors connect over HDMI cables, but the fact that this one gets micro-USB for connectivity makes things simpler.
It runs on a battery so you can carry it anywhere. It also doubles up as a 6,000mAh power bank and you can even charge your smartphone with it. The details about its global availability haven’t been announced yet but it can be expected to cost around the $200 mark.
ASUS further says that “The E1Z has a mercury-free LED light source, DLP technology, 100% NTSC color gamut and supports the full RGB color spectrum for clear, bright projected images with accurate color reproduction.”
