Ather 450X taken into a pond

The video in question shows the Ather 450X user riding the scooter into a small pond. Water levels seem to be up to the scooter’s front apron and completely submerge the front headlights. The rider seems to have had no problems whilst riding through such a deep trench of water and the scooter too shows no signs of immediate problems. A closer look also shows that the scooter worked fine in the reverse gear and the rear LED lighting systems also worked just fine. While it is unlikely that any electric scooter will be subjected to such conditions, the video comes as a reassurance to Ather users regarding the EV’s integrity through such harsh conditions.

Ather Energy is one of the older EV startups in the country and has been putting its electric scooters through continuous testing over the years. The company recently updated its lineup with fresh paint options and has now added Google Maps support for the electric scooter’s digital dash. Ather Energy also updates its electric scooters from time to time which ensures continuous improvement across different model years. The company also offers an Ather Battery Protect plan for an additional charge of Rs 6,999 that extends the battery warranty for two more years over and above the three-year warranty that the battery pack enjoys from the factory.
