EA has finally revealed FIFA 23 release date, price, features, and more.
FIFA 23 is set to release on September 30th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. The game is also releasing on Switch as FIFA 23 Legacy Edition, however, it won't have any new features announced for the game. Nintendo eShop's official description for the game states, "FIFA 23 Legacy Edition will feature the same Gameplay features and modes from FIFA 22 Legacy Edition without any new development or significant enhancements."
FIFA 23 features Hypermotion 2 technology that offers more animations and realistic responses from players. This is expected to make the game feel more responsive and fluid. It should be noted that Hypermotion 2 will be available on current-gen consoles like PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as well as PC only. Other enhancements include an improved dribbling system, new acceleration mechanics, better transition to shooting, and more.
FIFA 23 also comes with women's club teams and two leagues at launch including the Division Arkena 1 and Barclays Women's Super League. Besides these, the game will get FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and FIFA Women's World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023 as free post-launch updates. FIFA 23 also features cross-play in all 1v1 modes such as FUT, Online seasons, and friendlies. The cross-play support depends on hardware generations, where PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC can play the game together, and PS4 and Xbox One players can also play together. Besides these, FIFA 23 comes with a revamp for free kicks, corners, and penalties, alongside a new shooting mechanic that allows players to shoot much more powerful shots that need more time to execute.
