Google unveiled teasers that showcased the design of the upcoming Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro just yesterday and now the brand is back to give a sneak peek at its upcoming smartwatch too. Alongside the design of the Google Pixel Watch 2, the company confirmed a major detail regarding its availability for the Indian market.
Google Pixel Watch 2 to launch in India, design revealed
Google India’s official X (formerly, Twitter) account posted a video showcasing the design of the upcoming Pixel Watch 2. It also confirmed the Google Pixel Watch 2 India price will be revealed on October 5th and the smartwatch will be available on Flipkart. Earlier, Google also confirmed the pre-order date for the pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in India. Both phones will be available for booking in India starting October 5th.
The original Pixel Watch skipped India but it seems like Google has changed its mind for the product’s successor.
The Pixel Watch remains largely unchanged from its predecessors, with the band getting its colour from one of Pixel 8 Pro’s colour options – Porcelain.
Based on leaks, we do not expect any major upgrades with the Google Pixel Watch 2. The smartwatch will come with WearOS 4 but the most important improvement will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor and the addition of a UWB chip.
Google confirmed that it will start pre-orders for the Pixel 8 series on October 5 through Flipkart in India, a similar date has not been provided for the smartwatch. Only the Indian pricing might be revealed immediately after the launch.
