The team beat the previous record held by European automaker Seat in the 19th hour of the attempt.
The Guinness World record was set by three members from the Autocar India team and three members from the Hero MotoCorp team. These six riders set the world record for the ‘The greatest distance on an electric scooter in 24 hours by a team in relay' after having traveled for 1,780km in a span of 24 hours whilst riding the Vida V1 Pro premium electric scooter. The team beat the previous record by 350km.
The team of six riders rode through 24 hours of the day and achieved the feat with the help of the removable battery technology that is available in the Vida V1 Pro premium electric scooter. The team could maintain an average speed of 74.16kmph on the high-speed bowl at CIT and the Vida V1 Pro was reportedly ridden flat out. The team broke the previous record held by the European automaker, Seat, in the 19th hour of the attempt.
