“HP has introduced three different convertibles at Computex 2014 with different screen sizes”
At the ongoing Computex 2014 event, which is being held at the Taipei World Trade Center, HP has introduced three new convertibles. The company has already announced its latest Android-based SlateBook 14 and new Chrome-OS based devices. Two of the recent Computex devices launched are convertibles, similar to the Lenovo Yoga series, and can be used in tent, laptop or stand modes.
The first convertible is HP Pavilion x360, which features a 13-inch screen and is powered by AMD A6/A8/A10 or Intel Core i3/i5 chipsets. It is offered with up to 8GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, and boasts battery life between 6.25 and 8.25 hours, depending on which processor you opt for.
The second convertible is HP Envy x360, which is offered in a 15.6-inch display variant with up to Intel Core i7 processors and a maximum of 1TB of storage, along with up to 8GB of RAM. And the last one, the HP Split x2 is a refreshed edition of the Split x2 released last year. It is a 13.3-inch hybrid with a detachable Windows-based tablet and a keyboard dock. It will be available to buy with choices of Intel Bay Trail processors, 4 or 8GB of RAM and 500GB hard drive storage.
Talking about the prices, the Pavilion x360 will be available with a starting price of $600, while the Envy x360 will be available starting $680. There is no word on the price of the new Split x2. These will be available to buy starting July this year.
