Huawei Mate Xs 2 foldable has been announced globally after debuting in China recently. The phone is just 5.4mm at its thinnest point similar to its predecessor and uses the same patented ‘Eagle Wing’ steel hinge. It uses a single screen compared to the dual-screen in the predecessor; hence, the phone weighs just 255 grams compared to 300 grams in its predecessor. There is a single punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and triple camera sensors on the back.

Huawei Mate Xs 2 sports a 6.5-inch OLED outer display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2480×1176 pixels resolution. There is a large 7.8-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and 2480 × 2200 pixels resolution. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset coupled with Adreno 660 GPU for graphics. The chipset is paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 512GB UFS 3.1 storage that is further expandable up to 256GB via an NM card. The phone boots HarmonyOS 2 out of the box.

Huawei Mate Xs 2 is equipped with 4600mAh (4880mAh in collector’s edition) battery with 66W fast charging. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 LE, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and stereo speakers. It measures 156.5x 75.5 (139.3 when unfolded) x 5.4-11.1mm and weighs 255 grams.

Huawei Mate Xs 2 has triple cameras on the back, with a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 2.5cm macro, an 8MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, 3x optical zoom, 30x digital zoom, and OIS. There is a 10.7MP snapper on the front with f/2.2 aperture.
