Jio 5G services now available in 50 more cities in India: check full list of cities

Jio plans to complete its 5G rollout in India by December this year.

Jio 5G rollout in India is complete in as many as 184 cities in India, as the Reliance-owned telco started 5G services in 50 cities today. Among the 17 states where services were rolled out, three states/union territories received Jio 5G for the first time since the fifth-gen network was launched in India. These include Goa, Haryana and Puducherry. Notably, Airtel had already rolled out its 5G services in four cities of Haryana, namely, Hissar, Rohtak, Gurugram and Panipat, earlier.

In a statement, a Jio spokesperson said, “We are grateful to the State Governments of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal for their continuous support in our quest to digitise every region.” Recently, Jio had touched the milestone of 5G rollout in 100 cities in India within 100 days of launch of the network.

  • Karnataka: Bagalkote, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Mandya, Tumakuru
  • Kerala: Alappuzha
  • Maharashtra: Kolhapur, Nanded-Waghala, Sangli
  • Odisha: Balasore, Baripada, Bhadrak, Jharsuguda, Puri, Sambalpur

No specific 5G plans in India have been announced by telecom operators yet as the companies are still in the midst of rolling out services. Users can enjoy 5G speeds at their existing data plans till the time telcos don’t announce separate plans.
