The new validity for the Rs 2,545 recharge plan, first spotted by TelecomTalk, comes at no additional cost and brings the total validity of the plan to 365 days. The change is already visible on the Jio website and the MyJio application. It is valid on recharges done before January 2nd, 2022, which is when the offer will expire. This change makes the prepaid recharge plan one of the most lucrative packs for customers looking for a long-term recharge plan. It brings access to JioTV, JioCinema, JioSecurity, and JioCloud.
Separately, Reliance Jio has reportedly gained 17.6 lakh new subscribers in October 2021, while Airtel and Vi combined have lost 14.5 lakh users. This allows Jio to maintain its lead in the telecom sector in the country. This comes days after all three (Jio, Airtel, and Vi) have revised their respective prepaid plans in India, with an average hike of up to 25 percent across plans. Jio plans are comparatively attractive and this probably could be the reason for the increase in subscriber count.
