Micromax Canvas Hue with quad-core processor and 3,000mAh battery launched for Rs 10,999

Micromax has launched a new Android smartphone under the Canvas series. Called the Micromax Canvas Hue, the device will be available in online and brick-and-mortar retail stores starting January 16th for Rs 10,999. One of the main highlights the phone is its 3,000mAh battery with a super power saving mode.

The Micromax Canvas Hue features a 5-inch HD display with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat, and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor of unknown make, accompanied by 1GB of RAM. Storage needs are taken care by 8GB of internal memory, which users can further increase up to 32GB by inserting a microSD card. The smartphone has an 8MP autofocus rear camera with a Sony sensor, and an LED flash. There’s also a 2MP front-facing snapper for selfies and video calling. Connectivity wise, it offers dual-SIM slots, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS.

The Canvas Hue comes pre-loaded with a handful of themes, allowing users to personalise the device as per their taste. The company said it will release an over-the-air update with Android 5.0 Lollipop for the smartphone in the near future. 

Micromax recently launched the Canvas Breeze Tab P660, a 7.85-inch Android tablet with voice-calling support.
