Mi Alpha was launched back in 2019 as a concept phone with a unique 180.6 percent screen-to-body ratio thanks to a wraparound Flexible OLED display. The phone never went on sale, though it is displayed at few Mi Home Stores in India. Now, a leak about a next-gen Mi MIX Alpha has surfaced online. The new generation phone will have a codename ‘Draco’ and be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC. Unlike the originally Mi MIX Alpha, this new model is claimed to be commercially available.

Separately, Xiaomi Product PR, Agatha Tang, had also shared a short video on Twitter showcasing the Mi MIX Alpha earlier this week. The clip highlights the impressive display of the flagship. Similarly, another Xiaomi official also tweeted about the Mi MIX Alpha, which could be hinting at a launch of a commercially available variant.
Mi MIX Alpha specifications
To recall, the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha sports a 7.92-inch Flexible OLED display with 2,088×2,250 pixels resolution. The concept phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC coupled with Adreno 640 GPU, 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB internal storage. It runs Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 custom skin on top. The Mi MIX Alpha rocks a triple-camera camera setup at the back with a 108-megapixel primary Samsung HMX sensor, a 20-megapixel Sony IMX350 wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x zoom at the back. On the front, the Mi Mix Alpha has a 20MP snapper for selfies and video chats. A 4,050mAh battery with 40W fast-charging support fuels the handset.
