Update: Hours after the model number surfaced online, 91mobiles has exclusively spotted the same model number on the BIS certification. While this reveals the same ‘A015 model number, the brand name mentioned is ‘CMF by Nothing’. CMF is a sub-brand of Nothing, under which the company has been launching earphones, TWS earbuds, and smartwatches with youthful designs.
There appears to be very little chance the A015 will be Nothing Phone (3). For one the model number doesn’t match with the Phone (1) and Phone (2) model number series and now the BIS listing says CMF by Nothing.
Interestingly enough, about a month ago a post made rounds on Reddit shared by CMF by Nothing community. This shows what the concept render of the first CMF phone would look like. The image shows a unique design that doesn’t look like any phone from the brand. The design looks similar to the iPhone 5c, with a single-camera sensor on the top-left corner and rounded edges.
We see the CMF logo on the back and what looks like a speaker vent. The concept render shows the phone in Orange colour and matches the CMF design language. The post also shared some specifications, which they want to see on the CMF phone. This includes the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, 6.3-inch FHD+ display, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, IP68 rating, 24MP camera, and 2 years of warranty. The CMF community want the phone to be priced at $149 (approx Rs 12,500)

Fresh from the launch of the Nothing Ear and Ear (a), the company is secretly believed to be working on a new smartphone with the codename ‘Tetris’. This is rumoured to belong to Nothing Phone (3). Now, AndroidHeadlines has exclusively spotted the new phone in the database and while this doesn’t reveal any specifications, the existence is sort of confirmed. The report also reveals the model number details of the phone.
Nothing Phone (3) has been spotted
- According to the AndroidHeadline report, the Nothing Phone (3) has the model number ‘A015‘.
- AndroidHeadlines was spot on with the previous leak about the Nothing Phone (2a) and its model number “A142P” and the codename “PacManPro”.
- Having said that, the Nothing Phone (1) had the model number A063, while the Phone (2) had A065. The ‘A015’ model number of the Phone (3) feels a bit out of place.
- There are chances the model number may not belong to the Phone (3) at all so take this leak with a pinch of salt.
- The Nothing Phone (3) is expected to arrive with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset (which is an underclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset) but there are rumours about the phone arriving with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
- In comparison, the Nothing Phone (2) shipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
- While not much else is known about the phone at this stage, we expect the Phone (3) to come with camera upgrades, design changes, and aggressive pricing.
Speaking of pricing, an earlier 91mobiles Hindi report mentioned the Nothing Phone (3) is likely to be priced between Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000. Considering how the Nothing Phone (1) and Phone (2) launched in July, the Phone (3) might also arrive in July this year.
If this is indeed true, the company appears to sticking to the same range as the Phone (2) when it debuted. We might come across more leaks/online appearances and teasers closer to the launch, which is still a couple of months away.
