Yesterday, a leak revealed that OnePlus is working on a flagship smartphone, codenamed Ovaltine, which belongs to the OnePlus 10-series. The phone was expected to be the long-waited vanilla OnePlus 10 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. And now, the same tipster, Max Jambor, has revealed that the OnePlus Ovaltine may actually be the OnePlus 10T, not the OnePlus 10, and will not pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Tipster, Onleaks, aka Steve Hemmerstoffer, has also highlighted that the early leak of the OnePlus 10 was related to the OnePlus 10T.
Separately, tipster Abishek Yadav has tipped that the OnePlus 10T 5G will ship with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 flagship processor. Earlier leaks have suggested that the OnePlus 10T launch will happen later this year and may be the last flagship for the year from the company. While all the tipsters are pointing towards the OnePlus Ovaltine being the OnePlus 10T, it’s worth noting that OnePlus has not released a T Pro phone since the OnePlus 7-series. So, we don’t expect the OnePlus 10T Pro to pop up anytime soon.
The company has not confirmed the existence of the OnePlus 10 or OnePlus 10T yet, but we know that when Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, they revealed the names of the brands that will soon launch a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-powered smartphone, and OnePlus was on the list. The tipster has hinted that the OnePlus 10T will debut with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
However, let’s not forget that the OnePlus 10 Ultra is also said to be in the works, and it could also come with the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It’s unclear which OnePlus 10-series phone will launch with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor this year, since OnePlus has not confirmed any details yet.
