After introducing the OnePlus Ace 2 and Ace 2V earlier this year, the brand is working on a costlier model, dubbed the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro. The phone is confirmed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. In comparison, the Ace 2 came with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Now, OnePlus has confirmed the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will launch in China this month. However, an exact launch date has not been revealed. The OnePlus Ace series is limited to China but they are rebranded for other markets with different marketing names.

OnePlus Ace 2 Pro launch details

The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is confirmed to launch in August. Since the brand has officially started teasing the phone, we can expect more details, including a launch date, to be revealed in the next few days. There are chances the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro might share similar specifications as the Realme GT 5 (earlier GT Neo 6).

OnePlus Ace 2 Pro specifications (expected)

Display: The onePlus Ace 2 Pro is expected to feature a 6.74-inch curved-edged OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Chipset: The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is confirmed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with Adreno GPU.
RAM and storage: The chipset will be paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Cameras: As for the cameras, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is expected to feature 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor with OIS, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. There could be a 16MP front camera.
Battery: The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is rumoured to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 150W fast charging support.
Others: OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will feature the world’s first aerospace-grade 3D cooling system, which the brand is calling the ‘Tiangong cooling system’. This is claimed to be the most powerful VC aerospace-level space cooling system.
