OnePlus has finally unveiled the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G in India and Europe, as promised. It is the successor to the Nord CE and brings significant upgrades under the hood. The new Nord phone comes with a punch-hole camera, triple rear cameras, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone touts a more ergonomic design compared to the previous model. Interestingly, OnePlus has brought back the 3.5mm audio jack and there’s the microSD card slot for storage expansion. However, the alert slider is missing. OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G India price is set at Rs 23,999 for the 6GB+128GB model and Rs 24,999 for the 8GB+128GB model. The handset will be on sale from February 22nd via Amazon and oneplus.com in Gray Mirror and Bahama Blue colour options.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G sports a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+, a punch-hole cutout to house the selfie snapper, sRGB, Display P3, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer for protection. The display has features like AI colour enhancement, dark mode and ambient display. The phone measures 160.6 X 73.2 X 7.8 mm and weighs 173 grams.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G processor with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU for games and graphics. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual SIM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It runs on Android 11 based Oxygen 11 custom skin out of the box and has an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

The phone comes in two configurations: 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage that is further expandable via a microSD up to 1TB. There is a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging and has support for aptX, aptX HD, LDAC, AAC, and SBC.

As for the cameras, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G has triple cameras on the back, consisting of a 64MP primary OmniVision sensor with LED flash, 6P lens, EIS, and f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with 119-degree FoV, and a 2MP macro lens. The rear cameras come with features like nightscape mode, portrait mode with bokeh flare filter and improved backlit video shooting. There is a 16MP Sony IMX471 snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
