Oppenheimer to release on digital, Blu-ray, and 4K with over 3 hours of special features

Oppenheimer is one of the most popular and talked-about movies this year. The biopic released in theatres on July 21st having collected around $942 million box office earnings to become the third-highest grossing movie of 2023. Oppenheimer is now set to release digitally, and in formats that will give you an IMAX-like experience at home. 

Oppenheimer: when and where to watch online

Oppenheimer is scheduled to release in 4K, Blu-ray, DVD and digital on November 21st. It will be available to watch online through streaming platforms Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Microsoft Store, YouTube Movies, Xfinity, and Vudu Fandango. The movie will be able to watch through renting it or purchasing it online. Its OTT release is also expected to take place soon after the digital release. There is no date though of when Oppenheimer will be available to stream online on OTT. 

This release includes over three hours of special features that include the 70-minute film titled “The Story of Our Time: The Making of Oppenheimer.” Through this feature film, viewers will get access to BTS footage, interviews with Christopher Nolan, and the Oppenheimer cast as well. You’ll also get to hear from the cast, crew and producers about their experiences in creating this movie.

The Oppenheimer cast also sits down to share more about the characters they’ve played in the movie. It’s a star-studded lineup with Cillian Murphy playing Oppenheimer, Florence Pugh, Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Gary Oldman and more.

More special features include NBC’s News documentary, “To End All War: Oppenheimer and the Atomic Bomb,” and a panel discussion titled “Trinity Anniversary Panel Discussion.” The panel discussion has Nolan and physicists so if you want an even deeper understanding of the movie and science behind it, these special features will be a treat.
