The trailer of the movie pretty much covers the entire plot. It’s a typical flashy Bollywood drama directed by Karan Johar with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles. Here, Ranveer Singh plays the role of a “Punjabi Rocky”, while Alia Bhatt plays the role of an intellectual Bengali journalist, Rani. Not stereotypical at all.
Rocky and Rani fall in love but both families oppose their marriage because of the differences between them. This is what’s supposed to be the interesting part of the movie where Rocky and Rani decide to live with each other’s families for three months before they get married.
