The OPPO F1s rocks a 5.5-inch HD display, octa-core SoC and 16MP selfie shooter, yours for Rs 17,990

Earlier this year, OPPO launched its first F series selfie-centric smartphones, the F1 (review | camera review) and F1 Plus (review | camera review), in India. Today, the company has added a new F series offering to its portfolio dubbed the OPPO F1s in the country. Similar to its predecessors, the OPPO F1s sports impressive camera specs and a premium metal unibody design. The phone also gets a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button, which can unlock the device in 0.22 seconds. Users can assign up to five different fingerprints for different apps and contacts. The brand says that you can launch an app or start a call to a pre-assigned contact using the fingerprint sensor.

The OPPO F1s features a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with a 1/3.1-inch sensor, which as per the brand, captures pictures with vivid depth and details. It comes with the latest Beautify 4.0 version, which offers seven beautify levels, two skin tone modes and upgraded photo-processing algorithms. The front snapper also gets a Selfie Panorama feature and upgraded Screen Flash function, which now automatically select the appropriate brightness level depending on your surroundings. At the rear, the F1s gets a 13-megapixel shooter with an LED flash.

Moving on to the other specs, the OPPO F1s features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a layer of Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4, encased into a metallic body. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based ColorOS 3.0. The horsepower is provided by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750, aided by 3 gigs of RAM. The storage on board is 32GB, which can be further increased up to 128GB via a microSD card. In terms of connectivity, the device offers dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE with VoLTE, and the regular array of options. The phone is backed by a 3,075mAh battery, which as per the brand promises can last for a day on regular usage.

The OPPO F1s is priced at Rs 17,990, and its first sale will begin from August 11th. The phone will be available via major brick-and-mortar stores across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Trivandrum, Bhopal, Ludhiana, Gurgaon, Vijaywada, Hyderabad, Ghaziabad and Ahmedabad. Online, the phone will be exclusively available via Amazon India.
