OPPO teases Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro’s India debut: launch date tipped, specs revealed

OPPO Reno 8 series debuted in China late last month and it looks like the brand is gearing up to unveil it in India, as it has already started teasing the phones on its local website. It was recently tipped that the phone may debut on July 18th in the country and that the Reno 8 Pro+ (China version) will be rebranded as Reno 8 Pro in the country. While we wait for the announcement, noted tipster Abhishek Yadav has shared what looks like an official invite for the Reno 8 Pro launch event. According to the image, the phone will debut on July 21st at 12 PM IST.

While there’s no mention of the Reno 8, we firmly believe the handset will also debut on the same stage as the cheaper alternative. Since there are two different launch dates tipped, we will only know when OPPO confirms it. Besides this, the Reno 8 series has been listed on the OPPO website as ‘coming soon’. The listing confirmed the MariSilicon X chip, Sony IMX766 primary sensor, Sony IMX709 front camera, and 4K ultra night video. More features will be revealed in the next few days.

Moving top optics, the OPPO Reno 8 houses a MariSilicon X chip and features a triple camera setup at the back, with a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera coupled, a 2MP B&W sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. There is a 32MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. OPPO Reno 8 is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.
