In terms of positives, DxOMark says that the Pixel 6 Pro manages to capture good detail in bright light and indoor images, as well as in videos. The benchmark website added that the phone managed to capture good shadow detail and contrast. Even in terms of colour accuracy in photos and videos, the phone managed to deliver good results. Apart from this, the fast and accurate autofocus in bright light and indoor conditions was also appreciated by DxOMark. However, in terms of negatives, the benchmark website highlighted that the narrow depth of field results in blurry background subjects in group shots and there is noticeable noise in indoor and low-light images. The ultra-wide camera was said to be not as wide as the one offered by the competition.
In its blog post, DxOMark said, "With a DXOMARK Camera overall score of 135 the Google Pixel 6 Pro puts Google back into the group of manufacturers that is battling it out for the smartphone camera crown, making the device, at least from an imaging point of view, the best option for Android users in the US market by surpassing the competition from Samsung and ASUS."
Even in the selfie camera test, the Google 6 Pro got an impressive score of 102, which means it is only behind Huawei flagship phones in terms of selfie camera performance, which is a great feat.
