Realme is gearing up for the launch of its Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition flagship smartphone. The device will launch in China on July 12th, 2022, and will be Realme’s first smartphone to come powered by the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. While the design of the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition had already been revealed courtesy of the TENAA listing it was spotted on, the brand has now given us the first official look of the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition. As seen in the images above, this is what the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition will look like. The device will feature a triple rear camera setup at the back, which will be aligned in a triangular fashion with the LED light sitting right in the middle. Right next to the camera module will be the Realme branding, something that has been typical of almost all the Realme’s Master-series smartphones. The key highlight of the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition’s design appear to be the riveted corners at the back.

Judging by the antenna linings on the sides, the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition appears to be sporting a metal chassis. Furthermore, the device will come with a unique Brown-colours frame. The power button will be on the right side of the device, while the volume up and down buttons will be on the left. At the front, we can see a flat display with minimal bezels and a centrally-aligned single punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition specifications (expected)

The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is said to arrive with a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device will come powered by the latest flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which will likely be coupled with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB onboard memory. In the software department, the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition will run Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 out of the box.

Coming to the cameras, the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is tipped to feature a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide angle camera, a 2MP tertiary camera, and a 16MP selfie camera. Lastly, the device is tipped to feature a 5,000mAh battery with 100W/150W fast charging support.
